Every platform has its own idea of what a username is allowed to look like, and the differences trip people up constantly — a name that's perfectly fine on Discord might get silently rejected on Xbox, and a tag you've used for years on PlayStation might not even be typeable on Minecraft. Console and platform accounts (Xbox, PlayStation, Twitch, Minecraft, Roblox) are consistently the strictest — plain alphanumeric characters, one underscore at most, no symbols, because the username often doubles as a login credential or a URL. Mobile games (Mobile Legends, CODM, Free Fire) are the most permissive, since their in-game name is purely cosmetic and separate from the account login, which is exactly why stylized, symbol-heavy names are a genre unto themselves there and nowhere else on this list. If you're naming yourself across several platforms at once, the safe move is to lock in a plain alphanumeric version first — it'll work everywhere — and only add symbols or styling on the platforms that actually support it.
